Jennifer
Dean is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a native of Union County, North Carolina. She received her B.A. degree from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a major in Psychology and a minor in
Religious Studies. She is also a
graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where she received her M.A. in
Counseling Psychology. She is a member
of American Association of Christian Counselors. Prior
to joining Agape Christian Counseling in 2009, Jennifer worked as a therapist
and clinical supervisor in the largest
and most comprehensive youth development organization in the Chicago area. Jennifer also served for an IL-based Christian Counseling
group that provided a Biblically-based counseling ministry for churches in the Chicago
suburbs. She has worked with both adults and
adolescents in individual, couples and group contexts. Jennifer
has experience working with a diversity of issues including pre-marital, marital,
parenting issues, abuse, addictions, self-injury, depression, anxiety, anger
management, and women’s issues. She is
also a Level 1 trained EMDR clinician.
Jennifer, her husband and two children are excited to return to North
Carolina and are enjoying exploring the beauty of the Carolinas.
