Kim Laughlin
holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Winthrop University and a Master of
Arts in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary-Charlotte.
She is nationally licensed and licensed in both North and South Carolina, as a
Licensed Professional Counselor. Kim has
been a part of her church’s lay counseling ministry for over 25 years. Her
professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults
in individual, marital, family and group therapy. She has counseled in the areas of family-of-origin
issues, abuse, trauma, self-esteem, addiction, depression, chronic pain, eating
disorders, grief & loss, pre-marital, marriage enrichment, relationship
issues, parenting, aging, communication, conflict-resolution, adoption, post
abortion, and bi-racial issues. Kim’s
education and training has been, and is, obtained from the classroom,
supervised internships, continuing education and in her current role as a
Licensed Professional Therapist with Agape Christian Counseling. She is a
member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies, the American
Association of Christian Counselors, and PSI CHI, the National Honor Society in
Psychology.
