Mike Prasse began working in the mental health field in 1998 at Butner Mental Hospital while completing a double major in Psychology and Religious Studies at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then attended Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where he obtained a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling. He graduated magna cum laude as a member of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology in 2004. After serving as an intern at both Hickory Grove Baptist Church and Charlotte South Fellowship, he served as counselor and director of the Matthews Counseling Center. In 2009 he joined the team at Agape Christian Counseling as a full time licensed therapist. He is a Prepare/Enrich certified premarriage/marriage counselor, an ordained pastor, as well as a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North Carolina - license number 7244. Before going back to school he worked in the construction field as a commercial contractor as well as at an afterschool program for at-risk kids. Born and raised in Charlotte, he has been married since 2000 to his wonderful wife, Leah; they have two young sons, Drew and Jake. He enjoys date nights with his wife going to see movies, wrestling with his boys, and all types of gaming from board games to video games.
